Champions League Final 2022 Preview

PROBABLE STARTING LINE UPS FOR BOTH SIDES

This final will be a rematch of the 2018 final in Kiev which Real Madrid won 3-1 to seal their 13th European crown.

Liverpool will have better chance of winning this final than they did four years ago as they won't have Loris Karius to mess things up and Real won't have Sergio Ramos to injure Mohamed Salah. They have a much stronger team and squad than they did back in 2018 and have improved a huge amount ever since.

The reds have already won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season and will complete the treble if they win this Champions League final. They'll be disappointed not to win the Premier League but they can use that as motivation to win this one because they'll be determined to end the season with another trophy.

Real Madrid will obviously fancy themselves to win this game because they've proven that they can beat anyone on their day with their wins over PSG, Chelsea and Man City. They were arguably underdogs in all those games and their victories in those games will give them confidence going into this final against a very good Liverpool side.

Their record in this competition speaks for itself having it a record 13 times which will be another reason why they'll back themselves to win this final. With a manager whose won it multiple times as well in Carlo Ancelotti, they'll be a team not to be underestimated like they showed in each of the last three rounds.

PREDICTION: 2-1

It's definitely going to be a close game because of the two teams involved and the quality of players they both have. I'm backing Liverpool to take the win here because they have the quality both on the pitch and the bench to win them the game. Real will pose a threat with the likes of Benzema and Vinicius but I think Liverpool will just edge this one as they have s lightly stronger squad.
