April Team of the Month



GK: ALISSON (LIVERPOOL) - Alisson has another solid month between the sticks for Liverpool as they kept up their title charge. He kept 4 clean sheets which is more than any other keeper and he also made a lot of crucial saves as well.


RB: CONNOR ROBERTS (BURNLEY) - Roberts has looked solid for the Clarets ever since he was brought into the team and he showed why during April. His performances at the back were crucial to Burnley climbing out of the relegation zone and has been brilliant ever since he returned from illness.


CB: NATHAN COLLINS (BURNLEY) - Collins really stepped up for the Clarets during April as he put in some solid performances defensively and scored a couple of crucial goals. His contributions were crucial to Burnley climbing out of the relegation zone.


CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK (LIVERPOOL) - The Dutchman was solid right throughout April as Liverpool kept 4 clean sheets to keep up their title charge. He's again showed how important he is to this Liverpool team.


LB: MARCOS ALONSO (CHELSEA) - Chelsea may have been inconsistent during April but Alonso still stepped up with 2 goals and an assist. These contributions were crucial to Chelsea staying within the top four as the teams below them started picking up points.


RM: RICHARLISON (EVERTON) - Everton may have ended the month in the bottom three, but Richarlison's 3 goals were crucial to keeping them in the race for survival. He stepped up at the right time when the Toffees needed him to.


CM: KEVIN DE BRUYNE (MAN CITY) - De Bruyne was his usual outstanding self during April as he scored twice assisted 3 times to keep City ahead in the title race. He showed why City are a better team when he plays.


CM: BRUNO GUIMARAES (NEWCASTLE) - Newcastle's big money January signing really came to the fore in April by scoring 3 goals to take the Magpies into the top half. In him Newcastle have someone who they can build the team around in years to come.


LM: LEANDRO TROSSARD (BRIGHTON) - Trossard scored 3 times during April and they were all crucial to Brighton returning to form. He showed how reliable he can be for the Seagulls when he's on it.


ST: CRISTIANO RONALDO (MAN UNITED) - Ronaldo kept United in the top four race during April by scoring 5 goals including a hat trick against Norwich. His return to United has been questioned but there is no doubt that without his goals United wouldn't be anywhere near the top four.


ST: GABRIEL JESUS (MAN CITY) - Jesus took every opportunity he was given during April by scoring 6 goals which is more than any other player. His return to form came at a good time as City continued to push themselves closer towards the title.
